Default White metal Queens Bays badge

While at Stratford I saw on a dealers stall a white metal Queens Bays with 3 lugs E/W/N.
Is this a badge stamped in the wrong metal and therefore fake'
If not were and when was it worn and by whom.
Cheers
Malc

Malc, Was it "cap badge" sized? As I have one somewhere but would have to start digging to get at my notes about it...

Spot on. I have one of the smaller versions (used as an arm badge) that is shown in the L&D book as 6.3. I believe I have the larger one as well but (as usual) can't locate it.

That's not a bad price for a badge that is very difficult to get hold of. There is definitely a bit of a gap between that price and its rarity.....
Good luck.

Malc, When I got mine, it wasn't until I had a good read of the arm badge books that I twigged.
PS: By the way, you did me a favour as I found my x2 "missing" 4RIDG arm badges (one marked and one unmarked) while I was searching for the small Bays badge.... Thank you.

Rgds, David

Malc,
Its a little weird in that about 4 to 5 years ago, one appeared maybe once or twice a year, since then "not a lot". They must be out there somewhere... Glad that Dave won't let his go, that would probably annoy the original owner...
When I do decide to let some go, will bear you in mind.
