I've not seen a shield-shaped version before.

Was it the UTP that also wore this Anchor badge?

Thanks for the replies gents.
Can I also confirm this is the formation sign for the 227th Independent Infantry Brigade? Paul Last edited by 3battalion; 05-12-16 at 08:05 AM. Reason: Error |

Cole does not list the badge as that of 227th Brigade but Waring does.
One version of the fouled anchor worn by the Port of London Bn of the Home Guard is attached but there is another, neither being shield-shaped. Jon |

Thanks Jon.
The shield shape has me stumped. I think it's time for somebody to start an updated piece of reference on WW2 Formation Signs collating all the information available. Paul |
