Default WHATS THIS BUTTON ? RC ?

I just bought a load of Gurkha buttons and there's a couple of ones that I can't identify ( I know I should know and I'll probably kick myself ) but it's the black horn Light infantry button with Kings Crown and the initials RC between the stringed bugle.

Probably because the picture is so small that we cannot see the button clearly. Can you post a close up photograph of the button?

You might well be right - it could be a G - once I have the buttons in hand I'll confirm but the 18th RGR could be a very good shout - I thought it was probable that they'd be Indian given the rest of the group. Many thanks.
