Merchant Navy, Canada ?????
Good Morning Everyone.....
These badges were purchased with a set of medals and was told at the time that they were all to the same man..... 1. WW2 period RCN Officers cap badge new with gold William Scully / Montreal paper lable on back..... Now the interesting piece..... 2. Canada over MN shoulder flash in yellow thread over navy blue..... Has anyone ever seen this before????? Mike

I haven't seen this Merchant Navy flash. It appears to be Canadian made. Perhaps a special purchase by the sailor?

I have the MN in red & yellow embroidery but I have never seen a photo of a sailor wearing it.

That is what I mean.....
I got the Cap Badge, MN Badge, Photo and medals all from the same family and was told that they all belonged to the same man as he only had daughters.... Mike Here is a full picture......

As he appears to have had Canadian service in 2WW why not get Arnie Kay to check & see if there might be a file on him in LAC? I don't know if there are MN records held in LAC but Arnie would know. Bryan |
