Default Opinions Please on these South African Badges

Some of my late fathers cap badge collection they were in a box marked South Africans..
Can any one advise me on the best lighting for badges, not all these are as clear as I would like.

Walter

Hi Walter, they all appear to be African badges, but not all are South African. What is the difference between the 2 South African Constabulary badges? I can not see clearly. The selection is from the Boer War through too the Second World War. Regards Andrew

Hi Andrew
Scanned them for you side by side.
They are near enough the same weight and size but one is shineier than the other.
The one on the left is the shiniest, neither has been cleaned in the last 50 years.
Which are the WW2 ones, I did'nt know my father collected other than WWI.
Walter

Hi Walter, The SA Heavy Artillery are WW1, maybe some of the General Service badges may also be WW1. The SAC are Boer War, the rest of the SA badges look like later badges to me. Some may cover a wider time span though. Regards Andrew
