The manufacture and materials used are very clearly modern rather than those used back in the day, the description actually suggests that the regiment had been raised before the Great War.

Another idiot and certainly a seller to avoid.

Well done Simon/Andy for keeping the fakers on their toes and keeping this tatt away from decent colectors who could so very easily be fooled into parting with hard earned money for fake items. I've purchased two "genuine" 56th Ind Inf Bde badges from eBay sellers and both have turned out to be fakes. It's really demoralising to be tricked by such people, notwithstanding the financial hit in the pocket to have paid serious money for a piece of purported history that was actually made last week! The best thing I've done in many years of solo collecting was join this forum which is not only a hub of shared knowledge by likeminded collectors, but also a shield from the fakers.

Simon, the w--k-rs that deal in this shite are rarely the losers, it's the poor unsuspecting mugs with a very limited knowledge of militaria that are the losers. They are the ones who keep these turds in business by buying this crap.

Also true.

Lets keep highlighting the fakes and fakers as they appear on the market.

Ebay now says "This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing."

Maybe he has seen the error of his ways?
