Default Unknown need identifying
Hello
Could this be a British formation sign of some kind? It is black felt background with red felt square sewn on. About 2" square

If anything military I would go for Australia or maybe New Zealand. I know Australia used coloured felt on felt badges.

Just thinking about this patch, the one thing that comes to mind is the orientation. Perhaps it was worn turned 45°. At 2in square it may be a pagri patch.
