1CATB - Ram sleeve patch
Can some kind soul please post a pic of the 1st Cdn Army tank Brigade sleeve patch? the Ram with the big b....
I thought there is (was?) one somewhere on the forum, but damned if I can find it and I have now spent an enjoyable but thoroughly distracting hour reading old threads and not getting on with other tasks. Much appreciated. Bill.

Got your Goat
Hello Bill, There were actually several varieties of the "well hung" Ram. Here are three different patches.

Thanks Bill that's perfect! I wasn't aware that there were different varieties, this patch wasn't in use very long. This patch as well as the 2CATB sleeve are currently "holes" in my CAC collection.

The mythology among the 14th Cdn Army Tank Regt (Calgary Regt) veterans is that the hangy bits were rendered red by the careful use of red India ink.

I heard that the ladies would colour the danglies with lipstick!

Rainy long weekend Sunday afternoon.
Does anyone have evidence of these being worn/made in pairs? (Not the danglies...the whole patch.)

Thanks Jo.
I was under the impression that it was only worn on one side, but formation patches were supposed to be worn on both sleeves.

Worn at Dieppe, left shoulder
Here is a screen capture taken from German newsreel footage photographed just after the Dieppe raid.
