Default New Essex Album

For those who may be interested, I have posted a new Essex Album with clearer pictures than the previous offering and with several additional items.

Please feel free to let me know if anything is incorrect.

And I wish you and yours a fabulous Christmas.

Regards.

Brian

Marvelous collection, Brian. Thanks for sharing. What Essex badges don't you have?

Hi Brian,

I'm very impressed with your collection and the standard of the photographs. I struggle to get that standard of clarity, and wonder how you manage to achieve this?

Any tips on how you set up i.e. lighting, lens size etc would be much appreciated.

I'm sure I'm not the only member who could benefit from this information.

Again, well done with an impressive collection.

Regards,
Ian

Talking

Many thanks for the comments chaps. Much appreciated.

Tinto: there are a few Essex items I don't have.............some of them being in ExPatYeoman's album.

Ian: re the photos, I used an extremely advanced and complicated technique to obtain them, a ploy I learnt from the one and only Jelly Terror, I adapted it slightly for my particular needs.

Equipment needed: iphone; sheet of white paper; small table; daylight; items to photograph and a coffee jar.

Method: place the small table in a position where there is good natural daylight; put the paper on the table; put the badge on the paper; stand the coffee jar on the paper; open the camera on the iphone; place iphone on the top of the jar; adjust the screen to size required and take the picture.

My adaptation was to use a pint glass filled with Guinness, reason being so that I could have a drink in between pictures.

Merry Christmas all.

Regard.

Brian
