Think the first one is related to Chigwell JTC and the Second one to Oratory School. The one with the E is not obviously cadet related

15 threads started by this dealer/member.

All but 1 asking for identity or authentication of badges, is our goodwill as fellow informed members being a bit taken advantage of?

Just wondering.

The badge with the E is New Guinea PNGVR from 1950s and 60s (pre- independence in
1975) indicating an English speaker. There are metal trade badges as well.

The E badge is an Australian Cadet Corps Efficiency badge, awarded for efficiency during the training year. It was worn two inches below the Australian Cadet Corps formation sign on both sleeves.

The bar represents efficiency in the following year, one bar being awarded for each year efficient after the first.

Default JTC/CCF Cloth Badges

Hi All, First of all many thanks to all who have aided in identifying some of the badges.
I have clearly stated in my bio that I am a Militaria Dealer.
I am of the opinion (MY opinion!) that this forum is populated with people who have the ability to make a decision as to provide assistance or not with regard to requests for assistance.
Those people who have provided assistance are probably like myself, always looking to impart any knowledge they have acquired over many years.
As a collector for over 40 years and a dealer for nearly 15 years I was blessed with not having the need for assistance. In fact I ran a Militaria Fair for a while at Scotch Corner.
However some 15 years ago I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). I managed until a few years ago when, although my faculties are OK my motor skills declined (can't turn pages anymore of the many books I have in my library). As such I looked for another string to my bow and a colleague recommended this forum.
If the consensus is that I am abusing this forum then I apologise. Answers to posts is surely at the discretion of individuals who have minds of their own.
As I said at the start of this missive, I am a MILITARIA DEALER
All for now, Best Regards, Paul

I can vouch for everything Paul has said in the post above, and indeed consider him a ‘good egg’, a real ‘double yoker’ in fact.

Paul
Remember when you and I cleared out all the surplus stock from a certain badge manufacturer in the north west?
best regards
Toby

Default Crest-Insignia

Hi Toby, I remember clearing out an elderly gentleman in Maghull. Sadly I am assuming he must have passed away by now (he was pushing 100 then!!). Am I right in assuming Barry Morris had a part to play in this as well?
Regards, Paul
