Default ATC Squadrons

Is there a site somewhere which lists all the ATC Squadrons dating back to WW2?

I have found a reference to 909 Sqn being in Trowbridge during WW2 but the current Squadron Number is 2196. Were Squadrons renumbered post-war.

Smile 909 squadron.

Dear Sir,

909 (Trowbridge)High School Squadron was formed on 19/02/1941. I have a date of 20/01/1945 for the squadron's closure. I have never come across official list of Squadrons, but going online to a Squadron's website can supply you with information on their history/formation/disbanding details of some squadrons, but not all.

Yours aye.

Malcolm.

Many thanks. I had asked individuals from the current squadron who were not aware of this number change.
