Wink Cd's

Hi
I have one more book a very old one and two cd's
(1)Regimental Nicknames and traditions and badges of the British Army Gale & Polden, abe
(2) Headress badges of the British Army Monty Mortimer
(3) British Miltary Badges (Scorpion Badges.)
I got both the latter from the National Army Museum some time ago
The Books from DP&G are as Swift & Bold state very pricy but if you are to take your badge collecting seriously very worth while, But the very best as far as I am concerned and the Bible of badge collectors are the late Hugh Kings Headress Badges of the British Army Parts one & two, It is worth mentioning that I am a member of the MILITARY HISTORICAL SOCIETY SUBSCRIPTION IS ONLY £10 a year and they cover badges very well they also have a special edition once a year besides the quarterly edition.

hi blizzard/swift & bold thanks for the other titles, I will add the shortly.

Yes I was a member of the MHS donkey's years ago, i should sign up again, didnt realize it was so cheap.
I have been trying to get the MHS bulletins in their 5 year bound form (hardback cloth) only got three so far; 1950-1955, 1955-1960, & 1965-1970
they are excellent references often covering obscure material not found elsewhere.

here's a related (vehicle markings) one I picked up on ebay today.... this must have been the basis of the much more shockingly expensive (or they have the price wrong!) listing on abe Britsh Military Markings the second work looks much more extensive, but I will make do with the skinny paperback at that price.

Thanks for that list of commonwealth stuff S&B, I was thinking about having separate permanent pages for british and commonwealth books.....yes I will definitely do that....if fact could do permanent pages on anything that was useful......any suggestions considered...that goes for the forum as well..all can be changed to suit.

many thanks for that tyneside irish & S&B will add them in the morning.

on the subject of foreign badges I will add a forum in the "other stuff section" as we all eventually end up with the odd foreign badge. I did intend myself to get a few French foreign legion badges together - got the book on the subject (the only decent english book on the subject I think):

but never went any further (that was a few years ago), must admit the book is a beauty - very nice plates of badges.
