Default question about the 7th Light Horse badge

hi all
another 7th to add to the collection.
was just wondering what if anything is the circular shape on the butt of the 7th Light horse badges?

I vaguely recall some of the 303's had a brass disc there??

Hi Badgecollector

Like mentioned by Oz Ubique, the circular shape is representing the butt stock brass marking disc found on these rifles.
