Can anyone identify this helmet plate, about 80mm in height?

It is as P.B. says, not especially rare but not common either. A dealer would ask around £80 for one.

For years the one I had was labelled by me as "Dockyard Police" or similar, I don't know where I got that from, K & K, Cox, Gaylor, wherever, but I'd read it somewhere..
