Ì have 4 pictures taken during the same manouvres, this one shows the kepis best.

Well, if they are the same unit, then it's probably the 5th Line Regiment, though, like I say without any branch of service insignia...

Best shots from the 4 pictures that show insignia.
The man with the broom has an oilcloth protective cover on his shako. The blurry picture is the only one that shows arm badges. |

This one is dated 17 July 1917, sent to a German POW camp in Switzerland and approved by Geman censors.
