To add to the details on this thread I attach a picture taken in May 1932 of a soldier of the Southern Provinces Mounted Rifles.
His pagri flash clearly shows the bugle horn facing in the same direction as that on the FS Cap. Jon |

hi guys
can I confirm this badge is East Coast Volunteer Rifles? (Indian). is it a shoulder title or where was it worn? is it pre ww2? any specific dates? cheers bc |

Most likely, the 'Volunteer Rifles' and 'Rifle Volunteers' bit can sometime be a problem so difficult to be sure ..there was also an East Coast Battalion in a later avataar...
