Default Really

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/rare-antiq.../141741853848?

Seller has missed out that was used at life brigade charge, Nelsons laying in state, and was the first and only bugle to be used on the moon.

Impressed to a "Bugler".
Are the name & number to a genuine Norfolk Regt man?

Looks like one of the fake bugles out of India!

They are also churning them out with fake Aussie Light Horse and Camel Corps badges on them.

Saw plenty of them for sale the last time I was at a gun show in Sydney.

Weren't the laurel leaves a later addition to the Norfolk's badge? i.e. post WW1?

As Rob rightly alludes to; 'Mr. Punch' snide cap badge slapped on for good measure!

Very poor.

Hello David,

Perhaps you are thinking of the leaves being omitted when the Regiment had the title of 'Royal' conferred upon it? Circa 1935, if memory serves.

Regards,

N.

Although they became "Royal" in 1935, the cap badge didn't change until 1937.
