The top one is part of an Officers FS Cap badge (WWII period), missing its backplate and crown. The design of yours is often called "the Canadian fat eagle" which would suggest a RCAF badge.
The lower one has caused many discussions and is supposed to be the first type Officers FS cap badge. Yours looks like one of the many fakes of this badge which you see all the time on E-bay. See the attachment for more info. Dave |

RCAF Post War.
The top badge is indeed a Canadian badge, identifiable by its screw and circular nut fittings and the 'fat' bird. They were actually worn post war in the Royal Canadian Air Force without the crown on the 'Field Service Cap' by Airmen (other than Warrant Officer 1), and by ladies on the 'General Service Cap (other than Warrant Officer 1), probably without the backing plate. Introduced in 1953.
