Default Rising sun collar, 3 piece Staff Corp type.

I have normally seen this three piece badge in gilt/silver/enamel (behind the crown).

I have just seen an English made collar badge that has a bronze finish instead of gilt. The bronzing is to the front and rear of the badge.

The user has polished the bronze off the crown and put a red cloth backing to the badge.

Has anyone else seen this variation or know anything about it?

All the best
