Default Officer's Cap Badge,Calcutta Light Horse, A.F.(I.)

Thought members of the forum might be interested in viewing. It was cited by Bosley’s as scarce when I won it at auction in 2001, and I haven’t seen another example since. It is a cast silvered and gilt officer’s cap badge to the Calcutta Light Horse, A.F.(I.). The true WWII exploit of the regiment was made into a great movie, The Sea Wolves (Last Charge of the Calcutta Light Horse), starring David Nevin, Gregory Peck, and Roger Moore.

Lovely! Thanks for sharing. I was very young when I first heard of the exploits of the 'Calcutta Tight Horse', as they were irreverently known, and they made a big impression.

My Father was a member of the Calcutta Light Horse. He would not have disputed the designation.
