Help with thistle button

Hi
Attaches is a large brass button with a thistle on. The rear has no makers name but a keystone design. I also have one somewhere that looks like pewter.

Any ideas folks?

Hello Sapper

This button pops up from time to time but there has been no specific identification or link to a regiment as far as I'm aware.

A broadly similar button in anodised version is used by the Lowland Band of the Scottish Division but I do not think this is that button.

Most likely it is a generic pattern button used by Scottish folk on their traditional jackets.

Love to hear from anyone else that knows different.
