Default Norfolk Regiment collar badge to date

Hello all,

Here is a collar badge that I cannot match with those in Churchill's book. I know there are many variations of Britannia but I am wondering if this one is an earlier version?

Thanks, John

John,

I think your Britannia may have undergone a little cosmetic surgery. She looks as though she has been snipped along the thigh, and had her arm raised.

Do not have Churchill to hand, so unable to check dates etc. but I think you have a so-called Honolulu pattern, there (1881-1889-ish?)

Hi JT,
Thanks very much for your observations. I do see a certain roughness where you have indicated.
Regards,
John

Hi JT,

It is a cosmetic variant of the 20 Jan 1882 - 21 Mar 1898 ORs version as per Churchill 275/276 voided and solid and worn as a facing pair.

Cheers Dean
