Default Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders “Silver?”

Hi here is a voided badge which looks to be cast Silver, haven’t tampered with it (cleaned it!), appreciate your views as to authenticity if you would , many thanks Billy

The badge is OK. It is likely a senior NCO badge, or possibly even for an officer.
These were not issue of course, and were made by many makers over the years these badges were worn. The many varieties of shape, size and fretting seen is incredible.

Succinctly stated. Pedantry when applied to OR badges may indeed have some use; to officer badges a sheer folly.
