Smile Royal Horse Artillery

I have found this Royal Horse Artillery QC cap badge among my bits and pieces, the cypher has not been voided and appears to have been blackened, does anyone have an opinion of this badge?

It may be spare, but I don't want to offer it if it's deemed a fake.

Regards Rob

Poor reverse detail and back looks chemically aged. I don’t collect QC badges but if I did that wouldn’t be one I was happy with I’m afraid Rob. Just my opinion though.

Regards, Luke

Cool RHA badge

Luke,
This is precisely why I put this badge up for opinions, I am currently going through some of my badges and anything that is out of the ordinary I am questioning, I put a Royal Artillery/SEAC title up the other day which I thought was a bit "iffy" due to the spaghetti sewing, but I was assured by members that it was a good title.

I presume the RHA still wear this badge and I do wonder why anyone would want to fake it, maybe a private purchase for someone who did not like A/A badges, but can anyone say for certain it's a fake or otherwise.

Thanks for looking Rob

They still wear it but issued in a/a.

Cool RHA badge

Alan,
I have an A/A version which annoyingly has had the bottom of the slider clipped for whatever reason, this badge is poorly made IMO and I do wonder as I have said it was a private purchase.

Many thanks Rob
