More badges for ID

There was ofcourse the Women's Auxiliary Corps (India) and they had badges and shoulder patches with WAC(I) as I've seen in photos.. unable to post here as typing on the phone...but not BWVC as far as I know..
I have asked Ashok Nath who should know as much there is to know about Indian badges, he's not sure but will check and get back ..I'll post if I get anything definite..

Found a link to the old Durbar site (Indian Military Historical Society) with a list of badges , under 'Miscellaneous' - page 487 in index (93/200 on website) :

Cap – Bombay Women’s’ Volunteer Corps 1940-1942 – crown over wreath, BWVC in centre

Examples of the badge have been sold by Bosley's and also by Bonhams.

Thanks Mike. Just what I needed. So another 'Bombay' badge to be added to the collection! and a further possible drain on my pocket!
