Unidentified gun
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to identify the gun being demonstrated in this picture. It appears far too large to be any type of machine gun and rather small to be an artillery piece. Is it some type of anti tank/aircraft weapon? Aidan |

A Northover Projector used by the Home Guard.
(I've had trouble remembering the name, thought it was "North" something but was mixing it up with the Blacker Bombard). I have an original instruction manual for the Northover somewhere). Last edited by leigh kitchen; 15-11-21 at 10:09 AM. |

Hoping for ID - Possibly military?
Hi, wondering if anyone can ID these two items, think they may be military related but unable to find a match.
The boars head is 2.5" too big and heavy for button, maybe belt related? Thanks in advance. fullsizeoutput_c799.jpg fullsizeoutput_c79a.jpg fullsizeoutput_c79b.jpg |

The second item appears to be a plaque or similar relating to the 3rd Indian Division, "Chindits".
The Chindits were formed in 1943, the first Chindit expedition was in 1943. The 3rd Indian Division was designated in 1944. |

First part sits on a horse bridle. (I forgot its name)
Displayed is a crest. |

Hi Balian, it’s a civilian bridle rosette/ear boss, with the armorial/livery crest for the owner, no doubt for a well to do carriage horse! Possibly traceable, but the Boars Head was a common crest.
