Unknown Patch?
Hello, I obtained this patch at Chatham today and I am unsure who it is for???
A printed red shield with 2 white crossed spears on a Green back ground. 1st theory is Unit in Africa (Training Team in Kenya?) 2nd is possible to do with a Royal Marine Commando ? Can you shed light on this please?? Jerry engr9266

I've checked Volume II (1939-67) of BoB, negative result (always a possibility that I've missed it, but I was thinking of it as a more recent badge).

It's not in my book as it's not British Army although it is clearly a product of the Calico Printers Association. John Waring's Identification Pamphlet No 3 Shoulder Patches of Commonwealth Military Forces Part 2 identifies it as for the Kenyan Army. As a Society Member you can buy a copy of the pamphlet.
