Default Marmon-Herrington Armoured Car in Arab Legion Service

Hi Guys
Does anyone know where I can find a colour reference photo of a Marmon-Herrington Mk IV Armoured Car in Arab Legion service.

The nearest I can find is one which was captured by the IDF! Or just in B/W, which is quite good for equipment detail. A detail photo of the left side would also be nice.

Eddie,

This website shows the surviving examples of this vehicle type and their locations if you search the Commonwealth vehicles section. A number of photographs may be of use regarding the left side.

I'll check but I think the only Marmon-Herrington images I have are black & whites of some in Greek Cypriot service (rumoured to have been rescued from scrapping and to have weld lines down the middle like "cut n' shuts"). There's a possibility that photos of them in use by other nationalities may have found their way into the Cypriot photos as I had to cobble images together from whatever source in order to illustrate weapons arms and equipment in a recognition pack.

Marmon-Herrington armoured cars in use in the GCNG (Cypruis) - that is absolutely true about the weld lines. I may have some images taken at a National (Republic of Cyprus) Day military parade in the mid-1980s. Other images - not on parade - to follow.

Eddie,

In the Osprey Vanguard series, "Armour of the Middle East Wars 1948-1978",

There is a piece of artwork of such a vehicle and the text states overall "sand colour".

Here is the link for the book, hope this helps!
