Default 17th Dogra cast badge

Good Evening,
Can anyone tell me if this badge is a cap or a collar? please. I'ts about just over one inch by just over one inch (sorry don't have a ruler handy)

It is a nice ww2 era cap badge. Typical cast badge. Fairly common however.

IA cap badges were often quite small by British Army standards, so your question is a good one.

The IA issued shoulder titles and [smallish] cap badges to ORs and collar badges mostly to British and Indian officers, so just on the basis of how many of each were made the answer is usually 'cap badge'.
