Smile "Paint it black"

I have a 6th DLI plastic with some blacking left on it, also a DLI and an Royal Ulster Rifles painted silver, both of these are as issued.

As for Lee's brown plastic ACC being painted silver, I have a white metal ACC which I was told by the person who gave it to me was worn by Sgt Cooks during WWII, could any forum member say if this was true?

Well thanks for building a lively thread all, have learnt much already.

Of course I should add that any painted plastic Durhams, Leicesters, Lincolns, KRRC, Welsh or ASC badges that members wish to have me examine in sunlight only need to send them through to Australia.

Cheers Dean.
