Default Unusual RAC title

Got another oddity here that I have not been able to get any info on - hopefully someone here can help. Here is a cloth RAC title (along with a standard red-on-yellow title for comparison) which is an odd red-on-greyish brown. Also smaller than the normal style badge. Any ideas?

This could be well off the mark, but could this title be for females attached to the R.A.C. ?

Default Duke of Wellington's (perhaps)

I've a vague notion that this is for one,if not all, of the RAC Regiments formed from battalions of the Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Can anyone confirm or refute?

True. Several Inf bns had one of their Bns (war raised high numbered ones generally) re-roled into Tanks. Even the IG were represented in tanks and they part of XX corps for Op MARKET GARDEN.

Some of them adopted the RAC mailed fist badge and others kept their old badge. Others such as the Kings Own kept their old badge design but had them made in w/m to distinguish them from the infantry.

I had this scan in my photo album listing them all. Unfortunately I do not has a list of who wore what badges from that lot although i am sure there is a list at the Tank Museum Bovington.
