I would say not current issue, but not too old either, probably around 1990's. The new issue is a little different as it has a different edge, more solid. This one looks almost wool? I did some training with a Cdn Ranger unit in High Level Alberta, shot Long Branch and Indian Lee Enfields, lots of fun. They were complaining of the ball ammo as you can't hunt moose with it!!
