Does any body know what this is?
By any chance does any one know what this patch is? Judging by the listing at least a couple people do.

Thanks Bill. I had a feeling that you would know. I have a feeling who now owns it.

In my opinion, this patch is even scarcer than the CSEF patches. The colour description in Distinguishing Patches is not correct. A helmet was on ebay recently that had the same painted sign.

You don't think it looks a little to new to be nearly 100 years old. Just a question, not saying it is a copy.

Good point, it does look very mint and crisp for being a hundred years old.

Understood. Cloth ages in differing speeds, depending on the environment in which it is kept. Some cloth in my accumulation that is authenticated looks like it just came off the looms or out of the embroidery shop. Other, modern pieces look like they are a hundred years old.
The patch in question was glued in something, perhaps a photo album. By limiting the exposure to light and the elements, cloth does not degrade very quickly. The piece in question is also consistent in the manner that other period cloth was made. There is not 100% certainty, but it appears to be a good piece.
