Parachute Rgt, Glider Rgt, Army Air Corps
Hi can I get confirmation on these slidered Parachute Regiment badges please, do not wish to put potential good badges into the restrike/copies box.
The bottom Silver Officers badge have not seen this mark berfore "DND" lozenge indented onto a raised plinth? There is an " 925 - Anchor - Lion - I " any ideas on this please? This QC Chrome Parachute badge probably PRI shop have 2 spares if anyone interested send me a p.m. The Glider Rgt O/R is this a copy? Lastly Army Air Corps top is fine what am used to finding, bottom two left has a brooch fitting but has a slight overlap of feather onto wing which is a bad indication of a copy and also no notch to bottom tail-feathers - but! Rear has age and looks good? also the fixing looks period? Has me confused as want this to be good? The one on the left has no feather overlap but does have the notch to tail-feathers, rear lugs long? and a thick badge? Thanks in advance, billy |

Hi Billy,
I’ll leave the QCs to someone else as they’re outside my field. The KC slidered para is a fake. The slidered Glider Pilot Regt is fake, Firmin example genuine. Very jealous of your stamped lugs AAC, I’m after one myself and it is of course genuine. The two below it you are correct, they are both fakes. Cheers, Luke |

There appear to be three reverse QC Parachute Regiment photographs but only two obverse photographs?

Hi Frank the one with the Hallmark I didn't post the front, was interested in knowing about the DNW maker's mark and Hallmark didn't take a frontal photo. Can take one if you wish ?

Okay, just wondered, badges like that have been made down the years and have been bought, of course, as to where they were bought and subsequently worn is another matter, they are the sort of thing you want a provenance with really.
The plated Glider Pilot Regiment is quite nice, people are asking a kings ransom these days, I suppose a hundred quid is not out of the way, although, rather more were made than ever bought. |

Billy
the "chromed" QC Parachute Regiment badge is not a PRI item, it is the current, all ranks, issue badge PL |

The wm GPR or's badge is indeed a copy. The top AAC badge is original, the other two are copies. The slidered para badge with the blob on the left of the canopy is the easiest to identify as a copy.
