Default RAF insignia on Adrian Helmet

Hello guys

I was wondering if anyone knew this insignia.

I know it's RAF - but I found it on a French Adrian helmet. Does anyone know if it's also French?

Thanks in advance.

I think the French equivalent of the RFC/RAF roundel was blue/white/red as opposed to red/white/blue:

Yes, the RAF roundel derived from the French.

Thanks for the response. Does anyone know if it's possibly the RAF logo on a French helmet or if it stands for something else?

Is it possible that it was worn by a member of the RAF attached to the French during WW2? Liaison etc?

Churchill is known to have worn a French helmet in WW1. Possibly before British helmets were available?
