Default Any infor on Clan Badge with Joined Clans

I am wondering if anyone has any info on this clan badge, unusually it has two joined together.

I have attached a front and back photo.

Any info would be gratefully appreciated.

Hi Daniel,

I'm sorry but I don't have any information for you. However...what a really splendid badge, lovely to see.

Good luck with your research.

Cheerio,

Roy

welcome. On the left the crest and motto of Hay of the family of the Marquess of Tweeddale and on the right a crest and motto of a Brown family.
Up to you to find out when Mr. Hay married Ms. Brown. and you have a date for her badge.
A close up of the cross might reveal more.

Rgds, Thomas

The badge with the goat, and the motto Spare Nought, is the crest and motto of Hay of the family of the Marquess of Tweeddale.

The badge with the ship may be Clan Duncan, however the motto of Clan Duncan is Disce Pati.(Learn to suffer). The motto on yours Deus Adesto is (Let God Stand By Us).

Hope this helps and is not too confusing.

Phil.
