Default FSSF

Here is something that is on auction now and the fellow says it's a theatre made title, Quite a while ago there was one like it also on ebay & there was some talk about it being a fantasy title what's the general opinion now. I believe the 3rd Regt was totally US, was it not?

Default Off Broadway

Hi,

First, I am not a FSSF expert. Saw the movie and read the book. I have collected US patches for 50+ years and this is the first FSSF patch I've seen that looks like this one. I am very leary of any elite insignia, US, British, or anything else. I just finished some quick internet research. Take a look at http://www.insigne.org/Fakes-I-Abn.htm. I question any patch/scroll combination for the FSSF. As for the 3rd regiment being US, as I understand it the Americans and Canadians were mixed together. As for being theatre made, only if the theatre was off broadway, certainly not in Italy. If this is genuine it would command several hundred USD. I would not spend that kind of money without doing some serious research first.

My 2 cents worth.

Don
