South Stafford - Glider
The words SOUTH STAFFORD over a GLIDER embroidered in Golden yellow thread into a maroon felt background with a cut edge. Worn at the top of both sleeves of the Battle Dress Blouse by members of 2nd Battalion, The South Staffordshire Regiment. Catalogue number CB 2421, pattern number 14347, sealed 5th May 1950, introduced 30th March 1951. ACI 581 dated 13th September 1952. Obsolete October 1959, C9442. Marc Page 10 in my album of Embroidered Shoulder Designations.
