The NCO arm badge has the blob of solder at the scroll & coronet join So ours are good! BTW the blue backed bullion badge is a blazer badge

This is what an LIYPAO c1902-08 badge board should look like when its completed
* Officers wore bullion wire cap badges only over this period (LIY/KC c1902-08 & LY/KC 1908-14).

Badges
KK???? Silver Officers Collars (YEO) 1908-28
KK1318 White metal Officers Collars (I.Y.) c1904-08
KK1317 ORs White-metal (and collars) & Gilding-metal (I removed) c1904-08
KK1316 ORs Gilding-metal (Scarlet backing as per period photos) c1902-04

Buttons
LIY Prince Albert's Own Silver plate = Dress Blues Officers & ORs
LIY Prince Albert's Own Brass = Khaki/Scarlet Serge ORs

Shoulder Titles
LIY Brass (Joined) c1904-08 = ORs (No photo evidence)
L I Y Brass c1902-04 = ORs (photo evidence)

** The above board has been photoshop edited to make it look complete. So some badge shapes & size may be distorted slightly.
*** The value of a board looking like that would be as impressive

Hi griff,

Are you sure they aren't really the same length ? perhaps the time of night when you measured them , you know, a glass of wine here and a glass of wine there ??

Dave.

Hi Dave

I have doubled checked and still have the same result I think is down to the font set used in the stamp?

Point of interest...... I have yet to see the c1928-39 Badge with a Makers Mark?

Default Liecestershire Yeomanry, fake or OK?

Had this for quite a few years now. Know it's Liecestershire Yeomanry but can't tell if it's real or fake. Don't have a pic of the back as it's in Scotland at my mothers.
Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance
Bill

Good fakes (with sliders).... but fakes non the less These are not Gaunt re-strikes!

To see real Gilding-metal & White Metal KK1422s, in detail, then go to my LYPAO album or visit my website

Expect to pay around £30 for a "real" gilding metal KK1422 with slider or loops (both are cap badges)..... white metal KK1422's are very rare (looped only I believe)..... but you will pay around the same price. Suprisingly you will pay the same or more for the fakes!
