A very interesting, assumed accurate, history of the RIC and policing in Ireland
I found this of great interest, others may too?

Something in a similar vein that anyone with an interest in the Irish elements of the British army 1792 - 1922 may find interesting.
I have to admit that I haven't read the whole article as yet but have enjoyed what I've read so far. http://www.reenactor.ru/ARH/PDF/Karsten.pdf Ry |

Hi Ry,
I think I will be reading that article a bit later on!! has a good start to it though I have just bought the book, for a princely sum of 58p, on which the original post subject was based. I look forward to giving that a read when it arrives. Rather a book than google, i can never find what i am looking for online. Cheers, Phil
