Default Battle of Britain Day

Yet another 15th of September, I raise a glass or three to the Few, blue skies gentlemen and of course, to the many, a truly superb generation.

What was the old "Spitfire" advert, "Downed All Over Kent - Like The Luftwaffe"?

Smile Battle of Britain memorial

At the Battle of Britain memorial at Capel-le-Ferne when I last visited there were numerous adverts for spitfire beer in the gents toilets, excellent humour which echoed those desperate days when Britain and it's allies beat the Luftwaffe.
