Many thanks Chris.
Alan - would it be possible to merge the two threads? Some good info on both. Tim - using an interweb inflation calculator £3 in 1990 is a little over £6.50 today, which even sold as repros they’d likely make. So moral point aside at least on the face of it it seems those who purchased such badges direct from Gaylor are not greatly out of pocket. |

Just because you or I might not buy a repro advertised as such doesn’t mean the rest of the population won’t. They are objects and have a value which an informed buyer can decide. Horses for courses. Last edited by Luke H; 17-07-20 at 11:17 PM. Reason: Typo |

Some horses are only fit for the knackers yard.
The collectors world would be better off without "Honest John's" wares being pedalled on the market. At the end of the day they're fake / repro rubbish used nowadays as a tool to deceive. |

£82. I am not sure if that's a good deal or not. I suspect the buyer thinks that it's genuine and does not realise that it's a lot of money to add a fake 'gap-filler'
