Hey

A friend of mines has asked if I could show this to the members to see what it is and if its genuine

His contact is in south Africa if that has any relevance

Any suggestions welcome

Its the central device of an Officers Victorian Waist belt Clasp of the Royal Artillery or Royal Engineers.

Yes its genuine, over polished and repaired at the rear and of little value though i am afraid. Often seen and often asked about on here.

Possibly a Volunteer Artillery plate, as the "UBIQUE" scroll is not present at the base.
