eBay's full of alleged "trench art" that is modern workshop art as far as I can see.

There is a guy up here in the North East(God's country) who is notorious for this sort of thing - sticks broken cap badges on anything. Unfortunately, my father(who no longer collects)purchased a few of his items which now have come to me ! I didn't have the heart to tell my dad it was junk.

Anyone want to buy some trench art ?

I used to collect trench art, but have given that avenue of collecting up with the birth of online sales, I still have the small collection, but that's it . . !

I used to think it was funny, that every bugle had a cap badge on it. I really like the ones that have a 1917 coin and the Norfolk punch and judy😀😀😀

And just try advising the seller why the item is totally bogus and they will have a million reasons as to why their particular piece of tat is 100% genuine unlike everyone else's ……
