Default 1st V.B. Royal Warwickshire Regt. framed certificate

Another recent find. A framed certificate presented to 2773 Colour Sergeant Percy M Thompson on his leaving the battalion, 31st October 1908.

As 1908 was the year that the Volunteer Battalions were disbanded and the T.F. battalions were formed, I wondered if this certificate was a routine presentation piece issued to N.C.O.s across the board. However, it would seen that Percy Martini Thompson did not join the new Territorial battalions, as he did not re-enlist until 1914 when he enlisted into the 16th (Service) Btn, Royal Warwickshire Regiment as a Colour Sergeant.
