What was he doing, shopping or simply standing there? Can't really see the point in the MoD buying these things and telling people to wear them, if no one has a clue what its all about. Presumably the bloke wearing it does.....

Its a bit like the idiots that put slogans on police cars saying "Protecting the Community". These allegedly intelligent people must think that your average person can't work out that that's exactly what the police do. Isn't it obvious?

Sorry, I'm just having a grumpy five minutes. And its our cash they are wasting!

Hi Dave,

Normal practice is for these items to be made up at a regimental level, usually by a unit tailor. Beg, borrowing and re-hashing is normally the order of the day. For example, old style/damaged Barrack Trs cut up and so on. But I take your point :>)

Thanks Mark. Don't think that is a "do it yourself" job. Minimum order of X amount = a nice fat bill for us to pay!
