Default Tiptaft cap badge

Hello everyone, I have a copper cap badge with a Tiptaft brass slider.
The cap badge has not got a stamp on it but the front is a mirror Tiptaft badge.
Does anyone know of Tiptaft making unmarked cap badges in only copper?
Another question: it seems that normal lugged Tiptaft cap badges are as rare as hen's teeth, has anyone noticed that?

Pardon my ignorance but what is a Tiptaft mirror?

Default Tiptaft badge

Sorry everyone I will have to change what I smoke.
That post of mine is rubbish, It is a copper Tiptaft badge with a copper slider.
I cleaned it up a bit and I can just make out a Tiptaft stamp.

What I meant by mirror Tiptaft is that the badge is exactly the same as a Tiptaft badge, with the small o's in "commonwealth" and the floating "o" in
forces.
As soon as I remember how to put photos on here I will.

The badge referred to I presume…

https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...p?albumid=4516

It is not made of copper, rather it is GM but it’s original bronzed finish has been stripped away sending it that strange coppery colour.

Tiptaft Rising Suns can be found totally unmarked, with marked sliders, with marked backs and finally with marked sliders and backs. Quite a variety.

Default Thanks

Thank you for the info Luke.
The back looked like someone had spilt acid on it, it was incrusted with
verdigris and some other crusty brown stuff.
