Women's Forage Corps
This OHMS badge came with a collection of badges to the First World War Women's Forage Corps and it has been suggested that it may have been worn before the Corps got a uniform.
The Corps adopted a version of the Army cloth rank star as the shoulder strap shows. The WFC officer "ranks" were designated as Supervisor, Quartermaster, Superintendent but which rank badges designated which ranks? Any help appreciated. Jon |

Hello Jon,
An extremely rare badge indeed and quite expensive too. My understanding is that this badge was worn by the women/girls, who worked in the offices for local areas, and was an early badge. It was only after they (The WFC) were placed under the control of the ASC that the badge changed. Most of the other OHMS badges were different from this one. Ken (The Fatboy)
