POWs Feathers with blades...?????
Hi All
One for the collective mind to figure out Any ideas..........

At a guess I'd say 15th London. I've seen silver examples sold described thus.

I suspect Wilts Yeomanry - the feathers have a distinctive shape.

The shape of the feathers is the same as the pattern worn by field officers in the Welsh Regiment, although they should only be found in sterling silver.

Sorry, you got the wrong one before I edited my post. That one is for a Welsh Regiment Militia Officer's glengarry c.1880's 3" high and it is a beaut. |

Lancashire (PWV)
I think this collar is Lancashire (PWV).........I have an anodized O/R pair exactly the same pattern & shape.

This is the badge worn by Field Officers (Major and above) in the Welsh Regiment.
The first is attributable to a particular Officer. The second is an example I've had for years, but looking at it now against the first I'm not so sure the second one is right. Last edited by 41st; 19-03-11 at 06:55 PM. |
