Essex Scottish...
An ebay sale is offering this lot of Essex Scottish insignia. http://www.ebay.com/itm/WWII-CANADIA...item415d64818f. The shoulder titles appear to be current reproductions, and at first glance the cap badge appeared to be a crude cast reproduction. However, early in the Second World War there were a batch of badges made at a local foundry in the Windsor area. Could this possibly be one of these cast badges?

Hi Bill, after looking at the badge.......even the front doesn't seem to be up to par, even for a "emergency made" badge. The "the bazar made" Indian badges are better than that.
But hey, that's only my opinion. Jo

I am by no means a badge expert. I had also seen previous about early cast varieties to The Essex Scottish. I really believe this one listed on eBay is a bad copy. Somebody has been pouring into a mould somewhere?? Any thoughts.
